Is Alia Bhatt's JIGRA a Remake of Flop Movie?

The story revolves around Alia's attempt to free her brother from prison, and it shows her becoming physically ready for the risky escape. Jigra appears to be influenced by the Russell Crowe movie The Next Three Days, which is a reimagining of the French film Pour Elle directed by Fred Cavaye.

In Jigra, alia bhatt plays the primary character, trying to save her brother from prison as the plot shifts to focus on a brother and sister. Recently, mukesh bhatt played Savi in a bollywood remake of The Next Three Days, which also starred divya khosla Kumar and Harshvardhan Rane. Regretfully, Savi failed miserably at the box office, grossing less than 3 crores net.
