PM Modi Welcomes 'New Member' at Lok Kalyan Marg Residence: Calf Named 'Deepjyoti'
Prime minister Narendra Modi has introduced a new resident to his 7, Lok kalyan Marg residence — a calf named ‘Deepjyoti’. The announcement was made by the prime minister via a post on X where he shared the joyous news that a cow, affectionately referred to as ‘Gau Mata’, has given birth to the calf on the premises of his official residence.
In his post, Modi highlighted the significance of this addition, referencing traditional indian scriptures which describe cows as bringers of happiness and prosperity. He mentioned that the arrival of the calf is considered auspicious and adds to the sanctity of his residence. The prime minister explained the choice of the name 'Deepjyoti', which translates to ‘Light of the Lamp’, noting that the calf has a mark on its forehead that symbolizes light.
Modi’s social media posts included a heartfelt message: “A new member at 7, Lok kalyan Marg! Deepjyoti is truly adorable.” He also shared a video montage showcasing his interactions with the calf. The video depicts Modi carrying Deepjyoti around his residence, spending time with the calf in the temple area of the house, and taking it out to the garden.
This gesture reflects Modi’s deep appreciation for traditional values and the symbolic role of animals in indian culture. The presence of Deepjyoti at the Prime Minister’s residence not only adds a personal touch to the official residence but also underscores a connection to cultural and spiritual practices.
