Vicky vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and starring rajkummar rao and Triptii Dimri, is not related to the hollywood movie sex Tape, according to the director. The director, who gained notoriety with the Ayushmann Khurrana-led dream girl series, claimed not to have ever seen the 2014 movie starring Jason Segel and cameron Diaz.
While sex Tape centers on a married couple who record a sex tape to spice their relationship, only to discover the next morning that it has vanished, Vicky vidya follows the titular married pair on a desperate hunt for a CD containing a film of their wedding night.
Shaandilyaa claimed that following the release of the Vicky vidya trailer—which takes place in the 1990s—he learned that there was a movie called sex Tape.
"I was asked on X if this movie was similar to sex Tape. "There's no sex in our film," I say to myself. One of our authors informed me that the footage from the movie has become quite popular on the Internet. The couple created the video for our movie, but due to their carelessness, they misplaced the CD.
"The tale and characters are distinct. sex tape is unrelated to our movie. Not that I've ever watched sex Tape. The filmmaker told PTI in an interview that she wasn't inspired by it, but rather by life and the people in her immediate vicinity.
Vicky Vidya's sequel, which is currently in the works, will take place in the early years of the Internet.
"After the film concludes, there will be a sequel set ten to fifteen years later, after the invention of the Internet. The narrative was written by us. After I finish another movie, we'll shoot this one," he continued.
