Fans still hold dear Chiyaan Vikram's 2005 hit movie Anniyan, and there was a lot of enthusiasm surrounding speculations of a hindi version starring ranveer singh in the legendary role played by Vikram. These intentions were ultimately abandoned, though, and Vikram's latest response indicates a deeper sense of sorrow and disappointment.
Vikram responded to the rumors of a possible remake in a recent interview. He said that director shankar would be a better person to offer commentary on the specifics of the remake and that he wasn't the greatest person to remark on them. It would be best if you asked Shankar. Without giving things away, vikram expressed his unhappiness that shankar had not given him consideration for a sequel by saying, "He should have made part two with me." vikram expressed his admiration for ranveer singh despite the project's postponement, saying, "On a serious note, I thought Ranveer would have made a nice Anniyan." I think he's a great star.
But as he continued, "I would have loved to see his version of it because I'm curious how he would interpret the character," his adoration was slightly clouded by sadness. With his emotional commitment in the first movie and his stated want to be a part of a sequel, Vikram's remarks imply that he feels betrayed and maybe ignored. Essentially, even though vikram recognises Ranveer Singh's ability, his comments also reveal a feeling of lost opportunity and emotional hurt that shankar chose not to bring him back to Anniyan.
