The film was directed by venkat Prabhu. The music was composed by Yuvan shankar Raja. sneha and Meenakshi Chelatri acted opposite actor Vijay in GOAT, a colossal production of around Rs 400 crore by AGS. Vijay was not only the hero but also the villain in the film.
The movie GOAT had a huge star cast like Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Ajmal, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premji along with Vijay. As the film was released in tamil, Telugu, and hindi languages, GOAT was expected to be the first thousand-crore grosser of tamil cinema. On its first day of release, GOAT collected Rs 126 crore worldwide. But as the film got slightly negative reviews, the collection started to decline. The movie GOAT, which was a huge hit in the first week, started to slip down from the second week. The film GOAT, which was initially built to earn a thousand crores, is now questionable whether it will reach 500 crores. At the end of 13 days, GOAT has collected only 407 crores.
