Amul Denies Supplying ghee to tirumala temple Amid Controversy
In light of the ongoing controversy surrounding the use of animal fat in the preparation of tirupati laddoos, Amul has issued a clarification denying that it has ever supplied ghee to the tirumala tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). The dairy giant stated, “We wish to inform that we have never supplied Amul ghee to TTD,” emphasizing that their ghee is produced from high-quality pure milk fat at ISO-certified facilities.
Amul's statement comes after social media posts claimed that the temple had switched its ghee supplier from Nandini to Amul in recent years. The company assured consumers that its ghee undergoes rigorous quality checks, including those for adulteration as mandated by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of india (FSSAI).
