Nirmala Sitharaman is spinning the wheel as the key finance minister in the narendra modi government. Nirmala is performing well as the minister of Finance, one of the four key departments (Home, Defence, External Affairs, Finance) at the Centre. Having been the finance minister in Modi 2.0, she has now created a record by securing the same position in Modi 3.0. Nirmala Sitharaman has been accused of threatening several industrialists in the name of election bonds. It is alleged that funds were made available to the bjp through these threats. To this extent, adarsh Iyer of Janadhikara Sangharsha Parishad had previously gone to Bangalore Tilak nagar police station to file a complaint. However, the police did not file a complaint. Anyone can donate to the respective political parties under these bonds. The Center has said that this scheme has been introduced for transparency in the donations given by the respective individuals and organizations to the political parties. However, in February, the supreme court declared the scheme 'unconstitutional'. It also opined that it violates the right to information of the citizens.
Meanwhile, Union cabinet minister HD Kumaraswamy lashed out at karnataka Chief minister Siddaramaiah's demand that nirmala sitharaman resign along with him in the matter of electoral bonds. He said that there was no corruption in electoral bonds. In this context, he questioned why she should resign.
