Superstar Rajinikanth, who is playing the hero in his 73rd consecutive film, was suddenly admitted to the Apollo Hospital in chennai this morning due to a sudden health problem, which shocked the kollywood film industry. In the press release about the treatment given to Rajinikanth, it is said, "A team of three doctors led by cardiologist Sai Satish treated Rajinikanth today at 6 am. Vijay reddy and neurologist balaji also treated Rajinikanth. After the surgery, Rajinikanth was in the ICU for a few hours and has now been shifted to a normal ward. Even the family is allowed to see Rajinikanth wearing full protective gear. As Rajinikanth has already undergone a kidney transplant, it is said that the doctors are taking extra precautions as he will get infected very quickly.
The Apollo hospital management has now issued a statement regarding the treatment given to Rajinikanth and when he will return home. A statement issued by Apollo Hospitals today said, "Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Creams Road on september 30. He developed inflammation of the main blood vessel leading from his heart (Aorta) which was treated by a non-surgical transcatheter procedure.
Senior cardiologist Dr. Sai sathish placed a stent in the aorta to completely occlude the swelling (endovascular repair). We would like to inform his well-wishers and fans that the procedure went ahead as planned. Rajinikanth is stable and in good health. He will return home in two days."
