Following minister Konda Surekha's disparaging remarks on performers samantha Ruth Prabhu, Akkineni Nagarjuna, and BRS working president KT Rama Rao, the ruling congress was once again forced to ask surekha to apologize due to the strong outcry from a variety of sources. The telangana Pradesh congress Committee president, Mahesh Kumar Goud, had to try to contain the damage after congress lost the fight on several fronts. He released a video message pleading with the film industry to cease reacting publicly and pleading with actors that the matter should end here.

Surekha had to come out on thursday and say that she was taking back her remarks against samantha after the Minister's derogatory remarks on wednesday provoked an instantaneous and harsh reaction from the telugu film industry. Nevertheless, she persisted in her criticism of Rama Rao and carried on the tirade many times that day. The minister blatantly maintained her remarks to the media about samantha and actor naga Chaitanya's divorce, even though she claimed that her objective was not to offend Samantha.

“Yes, what I said might be wrong but does the world know the reasons behind naga chaitanya and Samantha’s divorce? Did Nagarjuna's family discuss the matter? samantha is mute. I'll talk about the facts and keep talking because I have information directly from the film business," she insisted.

Even when the president of tpcc asked congress leaders and Ministers to exercise moderation in their speech, surekha continued to attack Rama Rao, even going so far as to accuse him of murder. She said that BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao was "not to be seen" and that "Rama Rao might have strangled him or smashed his head or even buried him" when speaking at an event in Gajwel. Additionally, she threatened Rama Rao, threatening to keep him within his house and prevent him from traveling across the regions or even Hyderabad.
