After coming to power, ntr did many reforms in the state. ntr stood by every poor person. ntr had to give up the post of chief minister as all the support of the MLAs was on Chandrababu's side shortly after winning the second term due to misunderstandings against ntr in the party. Even today, the opposition parties point to Chandrababu for turning his back on his uncle and becoming the CM. After ntr, many Nandamuri fans could not digest Chandrababu taking over the reins of tdp, which has many of his successors. However, Chandrababu and balayya, sensing the ever-present danger from the Nandamuri clan, gave Balayya's eldest daughter brahmani to his son lokesh in marriage. With this, balayya became the son of Chandrababu.
 But Harikrishna became a big problem for Chandrababu in the Nandamuri clan. He was a straightforward man and he was the one who said what he was saying, so there were many differences with Chandrababu. Even so, Harikrishna could not remove Chandrababu from the post of CM. At that time, tdp, which ntr campaigned heavily on behalf of tdp, lost in that election. This increased the distance between Chandrababu and Harikrishna.
