Telangana Syndicate Eyes on Andhra Liquor!!

G GOWTHAM
Telangana liquor vendors are focusing more on business prospects in the west godavari district of andhra pradesh, especially in cities like Eluru, Bhimavaram, Tanuku, and Tadepalligudem. Though some telangana traders have already made the switch, there seems to be reluctance on their part because of worries about profitability and possible government regulations.

According to reports, the telangana traders are worried that business in the liquor market may not be as good as they had planned, particularly in light of the profitable twin towns of hyderabad and Secunderabad. The andhra pradesh government has warned about the severe implementation of liquor pricing legislation, which has added to their fears. Some dealers are wary of making large investments in this sector because of the fear of license revocation for retailers that sell alcohol above the Maximum Retail Price (MRP).

In spite of these worries, leaders of the tdp and YSRCP, who had previously commanded a data-sizeable share of the local liquor trade, are collaborating with some telangana businessmen to establish syndicates. These syndicates are arranging to submit 20 to 25 applications for each liquor shop, reflecting the high degree of competition and interest in getting licenses. An estimated 20 to 30 applications are anticipated for each liquor shop due to the high demand. The significance of alcohol sales as a major source of funding for the state is shown by this high demand. Liquor sales are Andhra Pradesh's second-largest revenue source after the registration department.
