Vettaiyan movie explains about BUDS Act rules..!?
After creating awareness about the 49P Act in the Sarkar movie, the Vettaiyan movie explains the law that bans div deposit schemes called the BUDS Act. Vijay's hit movie Sarkar created an important awareness among the people about the election norms. It was made aware that if your vote was registered fraudulently in the 5-yearly elections, you can cast your vote under Section 49B if you want to register your vote instead.

It is said in the film Vettaiyan that a cheating case means that a person can be sentenced to up to 100 years in this Buds rule special law.

Accepting investments or deposits without authorization is punishable with imprisonment of up to 7 years and a fine up to Rs 10 lakh. This is punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of twice the amount collected if the defrauded money is not returned. A fine of up to Rs.50 crore will be imposed on them if they commit the same crime repeatedly. It is to be noted that if these crimes have inter-state ramifications, the DGP can seek the help of the cbi to investigate the same.
