With the announcement of dates for the maharashtra assembly elections, the tussle has started in the alliance. On one hand, the Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) is brainstorming about seat sharing, while on the other hand, several rounds of meetings of the Mahayuti are also going on. Meanwhile, just before the elections, the Mahayuti has suffered a setback. Rashtriya Samaj party (RSP) President Mahadev Jankar has decided to leave the Mahayuti Mahagathbandhan.

Mahadev Jankar has announced to contest alone by separating from the NDA. It has also been said that the Rashtriya Samaj party will contest the assembly elections on 288 seats of the assembly on its own. Mahadev Jankar contested from Parbhani lok sabha constituency in the lok sabha elections but had to data-face defeat.

Why was Mahadev Jankar angry?

Now there is a discussion in the political corridors that Mahadev Jankar is angry because the Rashtriya Samaj party was not asked about the seat allocation of the Mahayuti in the assembly elections. In such a situation, Mahadev Jankar has now decided to leave the Mahayuti.

What did Mahadev Jankar say?

Mahadev Jankar said in a conversation with the media, "I am not angry with anyone in the nda Mahagathbandhan but the Rashtriya Samaj party should also become a big party in this country. It should come at par with bjp and Congress. For this, the Rashtriya Samaj party will contest the elections on its own. What is the strength of our party? We will see it and we will try our luck. We will contest 288 out of 288 seats in the state assembly elections." The Rashtriya Samaj party chief further said, "I was with the Mahayuti but now I am not with the Mahayuti. When I was with the Mahayuti, they gave us one lok sabha seat. Thanks to them for this but now we have to see the strength of our party, so we took this decision. To get our party recognized, at least 12 MLAs or two MPs are needed.
