Who is Lawrence Bishnoi? A Hero or Dreaded Gangster?

G GOWTHAM
With his identity now firmly established as one of India's most infamous criminals, lawrence Bishnoi has emerged as a character that many indians find both fascinating and frightening. The Bishnoi gang appears to be living through its prime after gaining notoriety by threatening bollywood star salman khan in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case and being further bolstered by the well-publicized 2022 killing of punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala.

Following the killing of former maharashtra minister baba Siddique, who was regarded as a close friend of bollywood celebrities like salman khan, Sanjay Dutt, and SRK, lawrence Bishnoi and Canadian mobster Goldy Brar recently made headlines. Although the group accepted responsibility for the murder, NIA sources assert that it could be planning to kill other well-known people, such comedian Munawar Faruqui and Zeeshan Siddique, the son of baba Siddique, to mention a few.

According to experts, the psychological motivation for these previous killings is far more complex than only seeking revenge on salman Khan. These murders may be committed with the intention of becoming more famous than the victim. social media users have been praising lawrence Bishnoi in spite of these heinous murders, calling him a hero and even expressing gratitude for the assassinations. Others, on the other hand, have correctly noted that the police are powerless to stop the gangster, even while they are in jail.

Lawrence Bishnoi is still seen as a dangerous and dreaded person in india in spite of the criticism. Since the distinction between a violent criminal and a vigilante is frequently blurred and we may not even be aware that it has been crossed for a long time, it is important for us as civil society to exercise caution when selecting someone as our idol.
