German Ambassasor experienced a ride on the NaMo Bharat train

Reportedly German Ambassador to india Dr. Philip Ackermann experienced a ride on the NaMo Bharat train operating on India’s first RRTS corridor. Ackermann, accompanied by NCRTC Managing director Shalabh Goel and other company officials, received a warm welcome. Senior NCRTC officials briefed the German Ambassador on the project. He was highly impressed by the train’s unique features and praised it throughout the journey.

Perhaps Ackermann traveled from Sahibabad to Duhai Depot RRTS station, experiencing the fast, safe, and reliable travel provided by the new age mobility solution. He appreciated the commuter-centric amenities at the RRTS stations, the features of Namo Bharat trains which have been thoughtfully designed for comfortable regional commutes, and the several initiatives taken to make RRTS one of the greenest modes of transit enabling sustainable development in the region.

Moreover Ackermann commended the efforts in making RRTS a green transportation mode, contributing to sustainable development. At the Duhai RRTS depot, he toured the state-of-the-art Operations Control Centre, where the NCRTC team demonstrated the unprecedented technologies used in this pioneering project. Also Dr. Ackerman praised NCRTC’s timely implementation of this large-scale, complex project. He also acknowledged the India-Germany partnership between NCRTC and the indian subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn (DB) for the efficient operation of India’s first RRTS corridor. The German Ambassador’s visit highlighted the growing cooperation between india and germany in sustainable transport and infrastructure development. His visit concluded with a tree planting ceremony at the RRTS depot in Duhai.
