Yugendra Pawar, grandson of nationalist congress party (SP) chief sharad pawar, on monday filed his nomination from Baramati assembly seat. Yugendra is contesting against his uncle Ajit Pawar. This is the second election battle between two members of the Pawar family on the Baramati seat after the lok sabha elections. In the lok sabha elections, ncp (SP) working president supriya sule defeated Ajit Pawar's wife Sunetra Pawar. Following his family tradition, Yugendra Pawar visited a temple in Baramati before filing his nomination. Addressing the gathering on the occasion of his grandson's nomination, sharad pawar said that I have full faith in the people of Baramati. They are constantly giving me political strength. It started in 1965. I have contested many elections from here, earlier I used to campaign but now the people here take the responsibility of campaigning for me.

'Will ensure Yugendra's victory by a big margin'

sharad pawar further said that I have full faith in the citizens of Baramati, they will ensure the victory of MVA candidate Yugendra by a big margin in this election. He said that no one understands the voters of Baramati better than him. On the issue of seat sharing in the Mahavikas Aghadi, sharad pawar said that consensus was reached on most of the seats and discussions were going on on some seats, so it was decided to file nominations on those seats on which a decision could not be taken. At the same time, after the final decision on those seats, the candidature can also be withdrawn.

'Baramati is always associated with Sharad Pawar'

MP supriya sule, who attended Yugendra Pawar's nomination, said that the voters of Baramati always stand with the ncp (SP). Baramati is always associated with Sharad Pawar. The voters here have stood with sharad pawar for the last 55 years. While addressing the gathering, Yugendra Pawar said that I want the people of Baramati to support me and I will always work for them. He described sharad pawar as his mentor, guide and ideal. He also said that I am not thinking how big the challenge is in front of me. But I always want to be with sharad pawar only.
