In a tragic incident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, two young girls were severely injured after being hit by a car driven by a 17-year-old. The girls were peacefully creating a rangoli design outside their home as part of the festive traditions when the speeding car struck them. Rangoli-making, a ritual that brings families together and is often a source of joy and celebration, turned into a nightmare for this family.

Witnesses described the horrifying moment as the car swerved and struck the girls with force, leaving them critically injured. The driver, who has been identified as a minor, was reportedly driving at high speed in a residential area, raising questions about the supervision and control of underage drivers in the region.
Following the accident, the local police were quick to apprehend the teenage driver. However, the incident has led to public outcry over the increasing number of road accidents involving underage drivers in India. Since the accused driver is a minor, the legal proceedings may follow a different course compared to cases involving adult offenders. Still, there are demands for accountability, as people are concerned about leniency given the severity of the incident. The role of parents and guardians in supervising young drivers and ensuring they adhere to the legal age limits for driving is also under scrutiny. This case highlights a larger issue: the dangerous trend of minors driving unsupervised, often without proper training, licenses, or an understanding of traffic regulations.
