On the other hand, US President Joe Biden hosted a diwali celebration on monday at the White House. On social media, a video of this program is going viral. This video shows the white house military band performing the devotional song "Om jai Jagdish Hare" at US President Joe Biden's official residence during the diwali festival. Over 4,000 people have liked this video, and indians are enjoying it. Ricky Kej, an Indian-American musician and three-time Grammy Award winner, has commended it at the same time. It's very amazing, he added, and the violinist did a great job with all the glissandos.

More than 11 lakh kids will be able to celebrate this festival of lights in New York City, America, as schools will be granted a break for the first time in honor of Diwali. Since this year, New York City's government schools have observed diwali as a vacation. A bill designating the day of diwali as a holiday in the city's public schools was signed by New York State governor Kathy Hochul last year. In observance of diwali, New York City schools will not be open on november 1.
"This is the first time that a public school holiday has been declared in New York City, and celebrating diwali with the holiday is a milestone that embraces the diversity of our city and is a result of the tireless efforts of our community and leaders," said dilip Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner of international Affairs for the New York City Mayor's Office.
