Is Liquor Part Of Telangana Culture?

G GOWTHAM
On Sunday, Mokila police broke up a midnight party at KTR's brother-in-law's Janwada property. One of the guests tested positive for cocaine, even though the main focus of the case is a booze party that was held without the required authorization. It is a rave party because of just one positive. According to several media outlets, Sailima, KTR's wife, is also present. The police used female workers to provide drug tests, but the ladies at the party declined, according to the FIR.

At the Villas where ktr resides, a fight broke out between the telangana police and BRS officials. A female journalist and BRS korutla mla Sanjay got into a heated argument when he asked her if telangana customs for house gatherings do not include alcohol use. The female journalist promptly returned it, stating that the MLA's remarks against a woman were blatantly offensive. The mla was forced to retract his remarks and provide an apology.

That started a social media conversation regarding liquor's cultural significance in Telangana. When people claim that consuming alcohol is a part of telangana culture, they are misrepresenting telangana society. Some are researching the past in great detail.

"A large portion of Telangana's people used to eat Toddy and participate in Toddy Tapping back then. Additionally, males used to drink toddy after hard physical labor under Nizam's reign. They claim that although drinking is common here, it has nothing to do with telangana culture.

This foolishness has been normalized by BRS. Earlier they used to use vulgar words and declare such language is telangana culture. They now claim that drinking is telangana culture and turn to rave parties. congress supporters are furious because BRS is using derogatory language and claiming that Mutton and liquor are part of telangana culture.

This was also influenced by Telangana-focused films produced by telangana filmmakers. Mutton and alcohol use may be common or widespread in telangana, but they are not part of the state's culture. telangana culture shouldn't be reflected in trivial items like mutton and alcohol. Filmmakers and political parties should consider more than these factors while discussing telangana culture.
