People Drink A/C Water mistaking it for 'Charan Amrit' from Lord Krishna's feet

Devotees at a shrine in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, thought that water flowing from an elephant construction was "Charan Amrit," or holy water from Lord Krishna's feet. Since then, a video of devotees consuming the water has become popular on social media and sparked a wide range of responses from users.

On the wall of the Shri Banke Bihari Mandir, an elephant-shaped spout drips water for the devotees to drink in the now-viral video. While some people drink from cupped hands, believing it to be holy water, others are observed gathering the water in cups. In a show of respect, several followers even poured the water over their heads. However, according to accounts, this water—which was coming from elephant-shaped outlets in the temple's architecture—was just water from the air conditioner and wasn't Charan Amrit.

Devotees are informed by a temple visitor who is filming the scenario that the water comes from the air conditioner rather than Lord Krishna's foot. He says, “Didi ye AC ka pani hai ye, charnon ka pani nahi hai ye thakur ji ke. Yaha ke mandir ke pujarion ne is cheez ki pushti ki hai. [This is AC water, not water from Lord Krishna’s feet. The priests of this temple have confirmed this.]" The devotee grinned and carried on despite the explanation. Others waiting outside the shrine were cautioned not to drink the water by the devotee recording them. According to him, it may be dangerous and cause illnesses because it comes from the air conditioner.
