Why Major Mukund Varadarajan's caste and Hindu identity was Hidden?
"Indhu Rebecca Varghese had only one request," Rajkumar Periasamy remarked in response to the situation. Mukund was a Tamilian, hence she wanted me to cast someone with substantial tamil ancestry. Sivakarthikeyan entered the movie because, in my opinion, he was a typical Tamilian. Bharathiyar's song Achamillai Achamillai is currently being performed in its original form in other languages as well. I could sense the movie's popularity the day Sivakarthikeyan sang the song with his daughter [in the movie]. I am aware of how powerful Sivakarthikeyan's performance is in the movie.
Indhu Rebecca Varghese wanted the movie to have a tamil identity, Rajkumar continued. His parents also had a desire. Mukund used to call his mother Geetha "sweety" and his father Varadarajan "naina" with affection. "Mukund always wanted to tell the world that he was an indian," they said. Even in his certificate, he only ever wanted to be identified as indian and Tamilian. He said, "They asked me to give him only those two identities as an army man.
