2 village defence guards kidnapped, killed by terrorists in J&K's Kishtwar

In the Kishtwar area of Jammu and Kashmir, two members of the village Defence Group (VDG) were abducted and murdered by terrorists on thursday night. The "Kashmir tigers," a terrorist group that is a branch of Jaish-e-Mohammad, took credit for the attack. Additionally, pictures of the victims' bodies with their eyes blinded were posted by the terrorist organization.
 
Nazir ahmed and kuldeep Kumar, both inhabitants of Ohli Kuntwara village, were identified as the deceased. Their bodies have not yet been found. To locate the bodies, the police have started a huge search.

Officials claim that Nazir and kuldeep were abducted by the terrorists while they were out in the jungle grazing their livestock.
 
"We have received information that my brother and Ahmad were abducted and killed by terrorists," Kuldeep's brother prithvi told the news agency PTI. As per their routine, the village defense guards (VDGs) had gone to pasture livestock.
 
Chief minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha were among those who condemned the deaths.
 

"No words are strong enough to condemn the heinous terrorist attack on VDG members in Kishtwar. I convey my heartfelt condolences to the families of brave sons martyred in this cowardly attack. We are firmly resolved to destroy all terror outfits & avenge this barbaric act," Lt governor posted.

The ruling National Conference, in a post on X, said the chief minister Omar Abdullah, and party president Farooq Abdullah, condemned the killings and noted that “such acts of barbaric violence remain a significant impediment in achieving long-lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir”.
