Russia Planning to Create 'Ministry of Séx' to Fight Population Drop

To address the issue of the nation's dropping birth rate, russia is thinking of establishing a "Ministry of Sex" within the government. According to the Mirror, a proposal that calls for such a ministry is being reviewed by Nina Ostanina, 68, a close assistant to President Putin and the head of the Russian Parliament's Committee on Family Protection, Paternity, Maternity, and Childhood.

The action is one of several "interesting" proposals being made by Russian officials in response to President Putin's call to halt the country's dangerous decline in birth rates. Days earlier, Putin personally encouraged Russians to engage in sexual activity during lunch breaks and other such times to ensure that the nation would have an adequate number of children.
Three main causes contributed to Russia's demographic problem: the conflict in Ukraine, excessive work hours, and the growing expense of living. More than 10 lakh Russians have fled the nation since the start of the conflict, according to a previous Metro story, and the problem is made worse by the high death toll.

There are other ideas that authorities are putting forth to the government besides the Ministry of Sex. In the nation, there are more efforts of this kind. One somewhat 'unconventional' suggestion is to encourage couples to have sex between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. by turning off the lights and the internet. 'Paying them for raising kids' is another concept that discusses prolonged maternity benefits for new moms.

The nation is full of crazy notions that are desperately trying to save its dying people. According to one proposal, the state should cover up to Rs 5,000 for initial dates. According to a different idea, newlyweds could be given public money to stay in a hotel for their wedding night, up to a comfortable 26,300 roubles (£208).
