Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data states Delhi's AQI classified as 'Very Poor’

Reportedly delhi grappled with severe air pollution for the 10th consecutive day even after the end of the festive season in the city, as thick smog blanketed parts of the capital on sunday morning. According to central pollution control board (CPCB) data, Delhi’s air Quality Index (AQI) reached 335 at 8 am, classified as ‘very poor.’ Various areas across the city reported similarly poor air quality, as shown in data from the System of air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR-India).

Meanwhile Mumbai, too, witnessed a thick blanket of smog this morning, however, the air quality remained at a moderate level with an AQI score of 142 at 8 am. anand vihar recorded an AQI of 351, Bawana 383, CRRI mathura Road 323, Dwarka Sector 8 at 341, IGI airport 326, ITO 328, Lodhi Road 319, Mundka 358, Najafgarh 341, New Moti Bagh 394, Okhla Phase-2 339, rk Puram 368, and Wazirpur 366, per SAFAR-India data.

Furthermore visuals from Kartavya Path showed india gate veiled in smog, with the AQI at 357 by 7 am. According to CPCB data Kalindi Kunj and surrounding areas recorded an AQI of 323, concealing high rise buildings in a haze, while Dhaula Kuan’s AQI reached 394, also classified as ‘very poor’. As the air pollution levels in the national capital have been hovering over the “very poor" category, doctors say that even people with no history of respiratory diseases are suffering from breathing issues.
