Manipur is Burning Again - But BJP Doesn't Care !?!
The homes of at least three ministers and six MLAs, primarily from the ruling bjp, were purportedly damaged by irate protesters on saturday, november 16, after six bodies were recovered in Manipur's Jiribam district. Authorities implemented a curfew and suspended mobile internet connections as a result of the attacks, which also featured a burning car, which caused demonstrations and traffic blockades around the state.
The deceased are thought to be six women and children who vanished in Jiribam on november 11; their identities have not yet been verified. On november 15 and 16, their remains were discovered at the Manipur-Assam data-border, close to the Jiri and Barak rivers. For post-mortem examinations, the bodies were transported to silchar Medical college and Hospital.
The demonstrators targeted six MLAs, including Rajkumar Imo Singh, son-in-law of chief minister N Biren Singh, and the homes of ministers Sapam Ranjan Singh, Leishangthem Susindro Meitei, and Yumnam Khemchand Singh. In Imphal east and Imphal West districts, protesters also gathered outside the residences of other ministers, lawmakers, and political figures, such as bjp lawmaker Karam shyam of Langthabal and Janata Dal (United) mla T Arun of Wangkhei seat.
Security personnel used tear gas shells in many areas of Imphal city and its suburbs to put an end to the disturbances. In the districts of Imphal east, West, Bishnupur, Thoubal, and Kakching, the local administration enforced an indefinite curfew. For two days starting saturday evening, Chief Secretary Vineet Joshi halted mobile internet and data services in seven districts: Imphal West, Imphal east, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, Kangpokpi, and Churachandpur.
