Ellen DeGeneres Moves Out Of USA After Trump Won

A person close to the former tv personality informed TheWrap that Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have gone to rural England, sold their Montecito mansion, and have no plans to ever return to the United States. They told pals that the election of donald trump was their main driving force.

DeGeneres has been candid about getting "kicked out of show business" following claims of bad workplace conduct at the syndicated "Ellen" program in 2022, so even if the new Republican administration was the alleged reason, a fresh start couldn't hurt.

According to the source, DeGeneres has already relocated to the Cotswolds, a remote region in south-central England. Her property in Montecito, which is around 90 minutes north of Los Angeles, has either been pocket-listed or will soon be listed. A request for comment on wednesday was not immediately answered by a representative of the renowned real estate firm she works with, Riskin Partners.

It was unclear what would happen to DeGeneres' other residences in Southern california once she allegedly purchased the expansive Montecito house in 2019 and moved there with de Rossi as their permanent abode. According to a former DeGeneres spokesperson, she is no longer the comedian's representative now that her comedy special and tour are over.

"Four Your Approval," a stand-up show that DeGeneres developed with Netflix, was just released. Apart from the comedy special itself, she detailed her post-"Ellen" activities in it, and none of them had anything to do with show business.

"I made the decision to start gardening," DeGeneres stated. "I have chickens." I'll see what else I can tell you about the events that have been taking place. Yes, I was expelled from the entertainment industry. Indeed, the "be kind" girl wasn't actually kind. The headline said that.

Then she asked herself out loud if she ought to have established expectations in a different way.

"People would have been pleasantly surprised to find out I'm kind if I had ended my show by saying, 'Go f–k yourselves,'" the comic said.
