What is the reason behind the incident?
Actually, Rishiraj Giri Maharaj, the head priest of Kailadevi temple, has claimed that the Jama Masjid of sambhal is allegedly a Harihar temple. Rishiraj Giri Maharaj had filed a petition in the civil court recently demanding a survey. On this petition, the court had asked to submit the survey report within seven days. In this connection, on the orders of the court, the team reached Jama Masjid on sunday morning for the survey. Seeing the survey team, a crowd of people started gathering at the spot. According to the officials, the survey work was going on properly. Meanwhile, the crowd that reached outside the mosque suddenly started pelting stones. Due to which there was chaos at the spot.
