Meanwhile, ncp (SP) chief sharad pawar has given a statement about fielding Yugendra Pawar against ajit pawar in Baramati. He does not consider this decision wrong.

ncp President and maharashtra Deputy cm ajit pawar contested for the eighth time from his family stronghold Baramati located in pune district and won a landslide victory. He got a total of 1 lakh 81 thousand 132 votes in this election, while Yugendra Pawar got 80 thousand 233 votes. In this way, ajit pawar defeated his nephew and sharad pawar faction leader Yugendra Pawar by a margin of 1,00,899. Ajit Pawar's party won a total of 41 seats in the maharashtra assembly elections. At the same time, sharad pawar faction could get only 10 seats. Ajit's led ncp contested 59 seats out of 288 constituencies and ncp (Sharadchandra Pawar) contested 86 seats.

It is worth noting that sharad pawar led the ncp (SP) faction led by him to a spectacular victory in the lok sabha elections in maharashtra, but just five months later, the former chief minister had to data-face one of the worst setbacks in his five-decade-long political career in the assembly elections on Saturday. The Mahayuti won 230 seats, while the Mahavikas Aghadi won only 48 seats.
