Indian Students Victim Of US Master’s Scam?

G GOWTHAM
A contentious discussion over the growing number of indian students enrolled in US master's degrees was started by a social media user. This discussion brought up the issue of whether studying overseas is a ruse to get a US visa and a job. In a Reddit post that went viral, a 26-year-old American lady claimed that 99 percent of her master's class in computer science were Indian. She said she felt sorry for her friends because of their high debt loads and limited employment opportunities.

Her post received a range of replies, with some users claiming that the large percentage of indian pupils is indicative of the predominance of indian professionals in the United States. Others questioned the college's authenticity because most prestigious colleges don't have many indian students. According to experts, it is also usual for indian students to pursue higher education overseas, although many second-tier institutes nowadays take advantage of ambitious students.

The labor market has grown competitive, despite the fact that 70% of indian workers are employed by American IT corporations like amazon and Microsoft. For the almost 269,000 indian kids presently enrolled in US schools, it does not ensure a comfortable existence in the US. It is indisputable that indians have shaped the global tech sector. Before choosing any foreign university, students should do extensive study and be clear about their expectations.
