Auctioneer Mallika Sagar Making Big Blunders - Hyderabad and Gujarat Teams Suffer

SIBY JEYYA
At the indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction on Sunday, november 24, auctioneer mallika Sagar made several mistakes, which made her day at work less than ideal. The gujarat Titans (GT) and Sunrisers hyderabad (SRH) lost the auction because of a few mistakes committed by mallika Sagar.

Big Blunders by mallika Sagar

Mallika Sagar became the first female auctioneer in the history of the indian Premier League in the 2024 edition of the event, and she was further chosen to undertake the role in the IPL Auction 2025. Fans have taken to social media to vent their outrage at her major mistakes at the current auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

When Jos Buttler was being sold, mallika Sagar committed one of her worst mistakes. Following a bidding battle between the rajasthan Royals, gujarat Titans, and lucknow Super Giants, the gujarat Titans paid Rs 15.75 crore to sign the renowned england batsman-wicketkeeper.

However, if mallika Sagar hadn't made a mistake, the gujarat Titans may have paid INR 25 million less for Buttler. She notably lost focus when she asked LSG whether they would be interested in raising the payment to INR 15.75 crore while the Titans were at INR 15.50 crore. She stated INR 15.75 crore instead of INR 15.50 crore, and Buttler was sold for INR 15.75 crore when the Super Giants withdrew from the competition.

Mallika Sagar also made a significant mistake during Abhinav Manohar's bidding procedure. The explosive batter had a starting price of INR 30 lakh when it went up for auction.

CSK immediately stepped in when RCB initiated the bid for him. Following RCB's withdrawal from the fierce bidding battle between the two teams, gujarat Titans entered the fray.

Sunrisers hyderabad later entered the bidding battle at INR 2.40 crore, while CSK withdrew when the price hit INR 2.80 crore. The hammer fell when it was announced that Abhinav Manohar had been sold to SRH for INR 2.80 crore.

Mallika Sagar said that the kolkata Knight Riders had raised their paddle and she was unable to see it, therefore the offer was once again open at INR 3 crore. After placing an additional INR 20 lakh offer, SRH eventually paid INR 3.20 crore for Manohar.
