As the Center announced the PAN 2.0 Project of the Income Tax Department, residents will soon receive a new PAN card with a QR code feature, in keeping with the central government's flagship initiative, wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital India.
 
PAN 2.0 is an e-Government project that will update the present PAN/TAN 1.0 eco-system by combining the core and non-core PAN/TAN activities and providing PAN validation services. Its goal is to re-engineer the business processes of taxpayer registration services. It would guarantee that PAN/TAN services are transformed by technology to improve taxpayers' wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital experiences.

The government will invest 1435 crore in the project to offer advantages like a single source of truth and data consistency, eco-friendly procedures, cost and security optimization, infrastructure optimization for increased agility, ease of access, and quick service delivery with better quality.
 
"The wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital backbone will be introduced in a novel manner, and the current system will be improved. Our goal is to establish it as a standard corporate identity. It will be entirely online and paperless, with a single site. During a cabinet briefing on Monday, Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the grievance redressal mechanism will be the main focus.
