Aishwarya received the aforementioned legal warning because of her kissing scenes in dhoom 2 with none other than Hrithik Roshan. "I actually received a couple of notices, legal notices, from some people in the country turning around and saying 'You are iconic, you are an example to our girls, you have led your life in such an exemplary manner, they're not comfortable with you doing this on screen so why did you?'" she was quoted as saying to a publication. "I did it once prominently in the movie dhoom and it was so topical, and you'll be surprised."
Aishwarya further on the legal notification by stating that she didn't feel comfortable performing private sequences for motion pictures. I'm just an actress, doing my job, and here I am being asked to explain myself for a few seconds in a two- or three-hour film," she added.
The industry was very interested in me and the prospect of working abroad at the same time that Hollywood, European, and english film were showing interest in the West. I had already turned down a few scripts because I didn't feel comfortable with the kissing and the very physical scenes because I hadn't done that on screen before and I didn't like the idea.
