How did BJP win Muslim-dominated seats in Maharashtra?
The results of the Mahavikas Aghadi in the maharashtra assembly elections 2024 were not as expected. This is a matter of concern for the parties involved in the Mahavikas Aghadi. Also, the performance of the congress involved in it was also not satisfactory. It has been seen in the election results that bjp has won even in Muslim-dominated areas. ABP news correspondent Suraj Ojha has talked to samar Khadas, Political Editor of maharashtra Times, on these important issues related to the election. Here are the main excerpts from the conversation with him
Question- How did bjp win Muslim-dominated seats in Maharashtra?
Answer- I do not think that Muslim-dominated areas mean where there are more than 50 percent Muslim voters and in all the Muslim-dominated areas, the candidates of the Mahayuti have not won. The attire of Muslims or Punjabis is such that it is visible.
Question- How did bjp win in the places where it lost in the maharashtra Assembly?
Answer- Talking about the lok sabha elections, the issue of changing the constitution raised by the congress at that time was very accurate and this happened because many bjp leaders also talked about changing the constitution. After this, the people of the Buddhist community in maharashtra who are emotional about Babasaheb Ambedkar, their votes went to the congress, along with that the OBC and maratha votes also went to the congress camp, but before the assembly elections, the bjp completely ended the narrative of changing the constitution and their leaders started saying everywhere that the constitution is their priority. They respect the constitution, after this this issue also did not work for the maha Vikas Aghadi in the assembly elections.
The maha Vikas Aghadi did not have any issue. Their top leader Rahul gandhi also raised the issue of adani and Dharavi in the press conference and these issues do not benefit the districts outside Mumbai. Even that issue did not have any effect in the Sion Koliwada assembly next to Dharavi.
Question- Why did the congress suffer losses in every section including Muslim areas?
Answer- Since independence, the voting percentage of Muslim voters in every election is around 35. In the lok sabha elections, people came to the polling booth and voted and at that time we saw that 55% to 80% Muslim voters voted at different polling booths, this time this number appeared less than in the Lok Sabha.
