S Venkateshwari

Amidst the political turmoil in maharashtra, it has become clear that in the new government of Mahayuti, now only a chief minister will be from BJP. The one name for which the leaders from delhi to mumbai were racking their brains, the one leader because of whom everyone from prime minister Modi to home minister amit shah were confused, he himself came in front of the media and solved all the confusions. That name is of Eknath Shinde, under whose leadership Mahayuti registered a bumper victory in the elections. But when the turn came to become the chief minister, Eknath Shinde surrendered before BJP.

Shiv Sena chief Shinde said in clear words that whoever bjp makes the chief minister, I am with him. But was it so easy for Eknath Shinde to say this? If it was so easy then why did Eknath Shinde wait for four days for this statement? After all, what is the real story of Eknath Shinde's surrender before BJP? Let's know in detail.

bjp needed 13 seats to form the government

When the election results came on 23 november in maharashtra and it was decided that bjp is the largest party with 132 seats, it was also decided that the chief minister in maharashtra will be from BJP. The reason for this was the arithmetic of seats, in which bjp needed only 13 seats from any of its allies to form the government.

Ajit Pawar supported Fadnavis' name

Ajit Pawar, a partner of Mahayuti alliance, had already realized that with 41 seats he cannot claim the post of chief minister, so he supported Devendra Fadnavis' name for the post of Chief Minister. Now with the support of Ajit Pawar's 41 MLAs, bjp was able to form the government. Still bjp did not show any hurry and waited for the next step of Eknath Shinde.
