As per report a massive political row erupted over a plea in a court, claiming the presence of a shiva temple in the dargah of Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer. Meanwhile AIMIM chief asaduddin owaisi accused the government and RSS of “weakening the rule of law" in the country, Union minister Giriraj Singh defended the plea stating that Hindu temples were destroyed by Mughals in the past and questioned what problem the Opposition has if a notice has been issued by the court.

Perhaps the plea in the Ajmer court was filed in september seeking directions to begin worship in the ‘temple’. The court directed that notice be issued to three parties in the civil suit, triggering a political debate. Notices were issued to the Ajmer Dargah Committee, Ministry of Minority Affairs and Archaeological survey of india (ASI) office in New delhi seeking their response. AIMIM chief and lok sabha mp Owaisi lashed out at the bjp and its ideological parent RSS over the development claiming that they were attempting to spread hatred towards mosques and dargahs.

Moreover he said “The dargah has been there for the last 800 years…Prime Ministers starting from Nehru have been sending ‘Chadar’ to the dargah. PM Modi too sends ‘Chadar’ there…Why have BJP-RSS spread this hatred regarding mosques and dargahs?". The Opposition leader said that the latest developments in this regard are “not in the favour of the country. Union minister Giriraj Singh alleged that congress indulged in appeasement politics and did not stop the “campaign of building Mosques by destroying temples". bjp mp ravi kishan termed the matter “sensitive" and said that the investigation will bring the truth out in the open.
