Reportedly after a quirky incident from rajasthan where the police announced a reward of just ’25 paise’ for a wanted criminal, a similar story has emerged from indore, Madhya Pradesh. This time, the police have announced a reward of ‘one rupee’ for information leading to the capture of two criminals, and the announcement is quickly going viral on social media. The unusual reward sparked a mix of reactions online, with many finding the situation both puzzling and humourous. The two criminals in question, Tabrez ali and Saurabh alias Bittu, are listed criminals in the indore police records and are suspected of committing petty crimes on a regular basis before fleeing the scene. Despite efforts to track them down, the police have been unable to locate them.
Perhaps Indore’s Deputy Commissioner of police (DCP) Vinod meena specifically announced the reward of Re 1 each for information on the whereabouts of the two suspects. According to the police, whoever provides credible information that leads to the arrest of either Tabrez ali or Bittu will be rewarded with Rs 2 in total ‘one rupee’ for each criminal. The police are actively seeking help from informers, as they currently have no leads on the suspects’ locations.
Moreover the police explained that the tiny reward was symbolic, meant to highlight the criminal’s status rather than the value of the amount itself. Jat, who is wanted for multiple serious charges, including attempted murder and assault, has been evading arrest despite a police case filed against him earlier this year.
