Pushpa Team In Shock Just Before The Release

The latest trend in indian film is the re-release of ancient masterpieces. The creators of pushpa 2 also attempted to capitalize on this trend by re-releasing the 2021 precursor in order to generate interest in the sequel. But things didn't work out the way they had hoped since Pushpa: The Rise didn't do well at the box office. Classic movies from two to three decades ago, including Kal Ho Naa and karan arjun, are performing far better than the allu arjun flick.

It demonstrates that consumers are not only consuming any re-released movie mindlessly. Instead, their primary want is to view classic movies on a large screen. With ₹26 lakhs at the box office on Friday, the iconic karan arjun was the highest winner. In the meantime, Pushpa's already enormous lifetime collection increased by just ₹15 lakhs.

The movie didn't even make it onto BookMyShow's trending list, but 21-year-old Kal Ho Naa Hoo is doing far better. It doesn't appear promising at this point if Pushpa's re-release is only intended to increase anticipation for the sequel. This marketing gimmick doesn't seem necessary, as there is already enough anticipation for the eagerly anticipated sequel. At the same time, telugu audience were disappointed as the re-release never happened in telugu or tamil versions.
