LYCA Productions Faces Constant Troubles
One of the most awaited kollywood blockbusters is ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi, which was directed by Magizh Thirumeni. lyca productions produced the film, and the company has formally said in the teaser that it would be released during pongal 2025. Before there were any discussions about it, there was a lot of conjecture that this film was a remake of the hollywood film Breakdown.
However, when the preview for this film was published a few days ago, a lot of people on social media remarked and said that it looked a lot like the hollywood film Breakdown. According to industry rumors, the Vidaamuyarchi film is a remake of the Breakdown film; however, it appears that the team has not obtained the rights, and following the teaser, Breakdown's distribution company, Paramount Pictures, sent a notice to lyca productions requesting $15 million, or roughly 150 crores in indian rupees.
But lyca productions denied the reports and said those are just baseless rumors. According to the public on social media, lyca productions appears to be in severe difficulty because their most anticipated behemoth is also having a lot of problems, and their last film, Vettaiyan, was also a losing endeavor.
