Serious questions concerning the supervision and responsibility of organizations administered by churches have been raised by the unfortunate and disturbing incident that occurred at the Diocese of Eluru's St. Joseph Convent Hostel. Tragically, a newborn passed away shortly after birth when it should have been securely held in its mother's womb.

An adolescent girl from Nandyal who is a second-year intermediate student living in the hostel is involved in the event. A neighbor of an adjacent apartment building saw a lady hurling a newborn out of a window early on the morning of december 8, 2024 and promptly called the police. When police arrived on the site, 2-Town Circle Inspector ramana was in charge. The dead baby was discovered behind the hostel by women and Child Welfare Department officials. It had bloodstains on it and its umbilical cord was still in place.

The investigation's lead investigator, DSP shravan Kumar, interrogated the hostel officials. After giving birth, the young mother, who was apparently in terrible health, was sent to Sarvajana Hospital for treatment. For additional analysis, the baby's body was taken to the hospital morgue. In addition, authorities sent forensic teams to collect evidence and questioned the girl's friends and roommates.

The girl, who was undergoing training to become a nun at the convent, may have had an affair with a Christian father in training, according to preliminary findings. A suspect has apparently been arrested for interrogation after allegations of potential misbehavior involving a trainee father surdata-faced.

The administration of the dormitory has come under heavy fire for this occurrence and for failing to keep a close enough eye on the kids. Despite the girl's bodily changes, there have been questions regarding how her pregnancy went unreported. According to reports, the issue was made worse by other homeowners who helped with the delivery but failed to notify the authorities.

DSP shravan Kumar attested to the fact that an investigation is still on and that a case has been filed. This catastrophe emphadata-sizes the necessity of increased responsibility and structural changes to avert such occurrences in the future.

The Diocese of eluru oversees the operations of St. Joseph Convent in eluru, Andhra Pradesh, which is a component of the wider network of Christian missionary organizations in India. Its main goal is to educate and prepare young women for a life of service as Christian nuns by placing a strong emphasis on community service, discipline, and spiritual development.

Significant questions have been raised by this terrible incident regarding the institution's management, namely about keeping an eye on the conduct and well-being of its pupils. The institution's moral and ethical safeguards for young women have come under scrutiny after allegations of wrongdoing by a trainee father surdata-faced.
