The delhi High court received a textbook instance of extortion connected to rape. Interestingly, though, it was rejected because it violated Article 376 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita (Indian Penal Code) 1860. A guy was really hauled before the court for a crime he didn't even commit since the allegations were bogus, the court said. In his remarks, Justice Chandra Dhari Singh stated—

“It is true that the provision under which the FIR has been lodged is one of the most heinous crimes against women; however, it is also an established fact that some people use it as a weapon to unnecessarily harass the male counterpart.”

September 2021 saw the filing of the complaint. whereby sexual harassment charges were brought against the man. The guy said that he and the person who had complained were in a relationship and had, therefore, continued to have a physical relationship with both parties' permission. According to the man's testimony, there was actually no pretext of marriage at all, and as a result, he has been wrongfully accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with the ladies while making such bogus marriage vows.

He was still prepared to be married after the plea, but the woman showed little interest. Ultimately, the whatsapp conversations between the two served as evidence of the man's innocence.
