Mitkari's full statement

Mitkari said, "Before the 2024 elections, the whole of maharashtra saw the implementation of welfare schemes like Ladli Behna Yojana and waiver of electricity bills of farmers. While implementing the schemes, ajit pawar as the Finance minister will ensure that there is no additional financial burden on the state. If financial discipline is to be ensured in maharashtra, then the Finance Department should be given to Ajit Pawar." ajit pawar was also the Finance minister along with the deputy chief minister in the previous Eknath Shinde government. Now he has staked claim to the Finance Ministry in the Devendra Fadnavis-led government as well. Now it will be interesting to see which ministry fadnavis assigns to ajit pawar after the cabinet expansion.
