The former actress is currently under criticism for her comments on postpartum depression and having more than ten children.

Sana Khan's remarks

Sana may be discussing how supportive her husband, Anas Saiyad, has been during her pregnancy in a widely shared instagram video. She further disclosed that while she was giving birth to their first boy, her partner had passed out. sana khan continued, 'Of course, I would love to have more kids. 5 bachcha ho, 10 bachche ho. Pehle ke zamane me toh log 12-12 bachche kar lete the. (I want 5 kids, 10 kids. Earlier, people would give birth to 12 kids).'

If that's not enough, sana khan also triggered mothers with her remarks on postpartum depression. She said, 'Jab aap apne dimag ko baar baar ye kahoge ki mujhe depression ho gaya hai, ho gaya hai. Kahin na kahin aap us chiz ko feel karoge, aap us chiz ko overcome kare. Apni spirituality ko badhaye. (When you keep telling yourself you're depressed, you start feeling that way. You must overcome that feeling and start embracing spirituality).'

Netizens reaction

People on social media attacked sana khan and urged her to behave responsibly as a public figure.

'How can you normalize that 10 or 12 kids are okay?' a user said.

"With the nanny and all the servants around you to look after the baby and take care of all the house chores, it's easy to say that the depression that women experience after giving birth is not real," said another commenter.

"No, it's not about whether they can afford it or not. It's about national wealth and overpopulation is a national concern," a viewer said. Shame on you for encouraging the birth of 10 or 12 children in a developing country like India.

Another wrote, 'Sana Khan you are a public figure speaking on a public platform. You should be careful about what you preach and tell people. Our planet can not handle more population at this point. I hope you speak carefully and inspire people to act intelligently and not spread the wrong thing.'
