RJD chief also demanded resignation

On the other hand, RJD chief Lalu prasad targeted Union home minister amit shah over his remarks on baba Saheb Ambedkar and said that he should resign from the cabinet and 'quit politics'. Prasad, who was the chief minister of Bihar, was answering reporters' questions about the controversy over Shah's speech in the rajya sabha earlier this week. He said, "Amit Shah has gone mad. He is full of hatred towards our revered baba Saheb. I strongly condemn this." When asked whether he is also in favor of demanding Shah's resignation, prasad said, "Shah should be removed from the cabinet. He should resign. Not only this, he should also leave politics." Prasad's remarks came after the congress alleged that Union home minister amit shah insulted Babasaheb on tuesday while responding to a two-day discussion in the rajya sabha on the topic '75 years of glorious journey of the Constitution of India'. The main opposition party also released a video excerpt of Shah's address in which the home minister can be heard taking a dig at the opposition and saying, "Now it has become a fashion - Ambedkar, Ambedkar ... If you take this much name of God, you would get heaven for seven lives. Earlier on Wednesday, Shah accused the congress of misrepresenting his comments to spread confusion and mislead people.
