SIBY JEYYA
Five days have passed since Nikita Singhania and three other defendants in the Atul Subhash suicide case were placed under judicial custody. The accused are still being questioned by Bengaluru police ten days after the probe began. In the last five days, Nikita has disclosed the following information to the police.

According to the information surdata-faced Nikita has claimed that she and her family are being wrongfully accused in the case, even though Bengaluru police are keeping the matter quiet. She stated, "We never asked Atul for money, rather it was Atul and his family who demanded ₹10,000 as dowry from us."
Nikita said, "For the past three and a half years, Atul and I have been living apart. I would have stayed with him and continued to take money from him if I had wanted it. I work and get paid well. My first requirement was upkeep for the raising of my child. However, most of my salary is used for that because of the property loan. I am the only one who knows how I manage to care for my child and operate the household."

Furthermore, Nikita charged that Atul had an extravagant lifestyle: "Atul enjoyed extravagance.
He spent all of his money on his three Bengaluru-based girlfriends. Even my pay would be taken by him. He would steal money from my mother whenever I begged for it. Even though we had previously given them ₹5 lakh in cash, my in-laws still sought a dowry of ₹10 lakh from my father. The cost of our wedding was ₹50 lakh. My in-laws threatened to file for divorce when my father stated that he was unable to offer more. My father died as a result of this stress.

Speaking to the media before to their arrest, Nikita's brother Anurag Singhania, and mother nisha Singhania refuted all of the accusations, declaring that they would now only address the matter in court.
