Regarding the intensifying conflict with ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that he is prepared to engage in talks with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
The Russian President stressed that talks could continue without any conditions at his yearly Q&A session, but he insisted that Kyiv's authorities be involved in any resolution on the war.
He explained that he hasn't spoken with U.S. President-elect donald trump in years when responding to a claim on a U.S. television program. Additionally, he stated that he would be open to meeting with trump and talking about the conflict. russia is willing to negotiate with anyone, including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Putin reaffirmed.Putin vehemently asserted that russia has only gotten stronger since the 2022 invasion, refuting assertions that his country is in a vulnerable situation. He argued for a permanent peace solution and rejected the idea of a short-term truce. He brought up the possibility of reevaluating an earlier Istanbul-negotiated accord. Some Ukrainian officials, however, saw this as a capitulation.
Millions of people have been displaced and hundreds of lives have been lost in the ongoing conflict. The relationship between russia and the Western nations was also impacted. The strike was justified by the Russian president, who claimed that it was a reaction to NATO expansion.Putin acknowledged that Russia's readiness may have been improved and that he may have taken the decision to send troops to ukraine a little earlier after considering potential blunders. He said, looking back and evaluating his time, "We have been able to bring ourselves away from the edge. I have exerted every effort to guarantee the preservation of Russia's independence and sovereignty."In the meantime, ukraine has taken the lead by launching a laser weapon reminiscent of Star Wars, which Kyiv refers to as Tryzub, or trident in Ukrainian. At a recent defence meeting in Kyiv, Vadym Sukharevskyi, commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems, announced that the war-torn nation has created a sophisticated laser weapon that can destroy flying objects. The Tryzub, or trident, is notably a reference to Ukraine's national emblem, which stands for power, solidarity, and self-reliance."It truly exists and functions. According to a Kyiv post, Sukharevskyi stated, "We can say that today ukraine is, if I'm not mistaken, the fifth country that can say it has a laser weapon."
Tryzub: What Is It?
Although there isn't much information available concerning Tryzub, multiple media reports claim that the weapon can kill any flying object at a distance more than two kilometres. Col Vadym Sukharevskyi didn't disclose additional details about Tryzub, indicating that it is true and now working. He does not, however, disclose the location or area in which it is used.
The weapon may have been inspired by the United Kingdom's DragonFire, a Laser Directed Energy Weapon (LDEW) that destroys its target with a powerful light beam, according to some defence specialists. At the speed of light, the weapon can strike.
