The fact that 20 bjp MPs did not participate in that vote caused a great controversy.
Following this, a parliamentary joint committee was formed to study the One Nation, One election Bill. This joint committee included 39 members including Congress mp priyanka Gandhi, DMK's Wilson, and Selvaganapathy. The committee has been formed under the chairmanship of bjp mp Chowdhury.
