Fishermen from that area say that sometimes gold jewelry is also found. In November, Cyclone Nivar hit tamil Nadu and went to Andhra Pradesh. At that time, the sea in Uppada was rough due to the storm. The fishermen of that area say that a lot of gold beads were found on the beach at that time. After this, the number of people going to that beach in search of gold has increased every day.
Thus, gold particles and small gold jewelry are found on the sand of Uppada beach and people are collecting them and selling them in shops. It is said that houses and temples were washed away from there by the sea storm in this area before. Similarly, people from that area say that gold jewelry from the things washed into the sea and gold jewelry from temples, etc., come to the shores during storms and sea storms. They collect and sell them. Previously, when people who lived in this area built new houses or temples, they would come to this beach area and buy as much gold as they could and bury it. It is said that even that gold is now being washed away from the sea and brought to the shore. people sell the gold found here in shops and get paid between Rs. 300 and Rs. 400 for small gold nuggets and Rs. 2000 and Rs. 4000 for small jewelry.
