Weeks after the Pushpa 2 stampede event, Dil Raju promises help to the victim's son in the Allu Arjun-Sandhya Theatre controversy
Film producer and Chairman of the telangana Film Development Corporation, dil Raju, has shared an update regarding Sri Tej, the son of revathi, who sadly lost her life in the sandhya Theatre tragedy. Sri Tej, who sustained injuries during the stampede at the premiere of pushpa 2: The Rule, is currently showing signs of improvement and was taken off the ventilator two days prior. dil raju visited kims hospital in Secunderabad, Hyderabad, to meet with Sri Tej's family. In a conversation with ANI, he recounted his previous meeting with telangana chief minister Revanth reddy to discuss support for Sri Tej's family, assuring that both the film industry and the government would extend the necessary help. "He is recovering and responding well... He was removed from the ventilator two days ago," dil raju stated. The producers of pushpa 2, naveen Yerneni and ravi Shankar, previously presented a Rs 50 lakh cheque to the victim's family at kims Hospital. This cheque was given in the presence of telangana minister for Roads & Buildings and Cinematography, Komatireddy venkat Reddy, and was received by Revathi's spouse. The unfortunate incident took place on december 4, during the premiere of pushpa 2: The Rule, which was attended by Allu Arjun. A massive crowd had assembled to see the actor, and the situation intensified when he waved to fans from the sunroof of his vehicle. The stampede resulted in Revathi's death and left her son, Sri Tej, injured. After the occurrence, allu arjun was arrested and subsequently released on bail following a Rs 50,000 bond. The case gained further attention when allu arjun received a notice directing him to appear for questioning concerning the sandhya Theatre incident. The notice from the telangana police indicated, "The case is currently under investigation, and your presence is crucial before the undersigned officer to obtain details about the incident and, if needed, to revisit the scene to verify the actual events." allu arjun complied and reported to the Chikkadpally police station in Hyderabad. On december 22, a group of protesters demanding justice for revathi stormed Allu Arjun's residence. According to the DCP West Zone in Hyderabad, the protesters arrived brandishing placards and chanting slogans. An individual scaled the compound wall and hurled stones, leading security to intervene. The protesters caused damage to flower pots and physically confronted security staff. Six individuals, associated with the osmania university Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC), were detained and subsequently let out on bail. The incident has also triggered political controversy. telangana chief minister Revanth reddy held allu arjun accountable for the disaster, asserting in the assembly that the police had denied permission for any event at sandhya Theatre due to safety issues. In response, allu arjun rejected the accusations, labeling them as an effort at "character assassination."
