Wearing masks is mandatory in Karnataka due to HMPV..!?
After two children in Bengaluru tested positive for HMPV, the state government has advised everyone in the state to wear masks. The public should avoid going to public places if they have symptoms of the disease; the state government has advised people to wear data-face masks in crowded areas to reduce the risk of transmission. In Bengaluru, an eight-month-old boy and a three-month-old girl have been confirmed to be infected with HMBV. This step has been taken in response to the confirmation of infection. It has also been revealed that the infected children have not traveled abroad.
Karnataka health Minister Dinesh Gundurao said in an interview:
People should not panic. The eight-month-old baby boy is doing well. He will be discharged on Tuesday. This is a pre-existing virus. This is not the first time it has been infected. Some people have respiratory problems due to the virus. This virus was first detected in the netherlands in 2001
We do not know if this case came from China. The children and their parents who are infected have not traveled anywhere abroad. They came from Tirupati. However, for the safety of the public, it is necessary to wear masks.
