Sleep divorce on the rise among Indian couples..!?
Currently, many people are putting themselves under a lot of stress as they compete to move to the next level in their work and life, create assets, and advance in their careers. Those who are under such stress are regularly suffering from sleep deprivation. It has been revealed that this problem of insomnia has a big impact on their personal lives as well. A study on the 2025 international Sleep Study has been released. It says that the trend of sleep divorce is increasing among couples in India. Sleep divorce means that couples sleep separately even if they live in the same house. The study says that more than 70% of couples in india prefer to sleep separately. The main reason for this is that they sleep separately from their partners in order to get a peaceful quality of sleep due to various stresses and excitements throughout the day, the study says.

However, experts say that sleeping separately for couples is not good for their relationship. When couples sleep together, the love hormone oxytocin is secreted between them. They say that it reduces our stress and depression, tension, and anxiety. They also say that this increases life expectancy. In a study conducted on couples who said that they always sleep together, they said that when they sleep with their partner, their love increased by 53% and that they felt comfortable mentally relaxed, and happy.
In this busy world, many people sacrifice their sleep without taking care of themselves in order to fulfill work, family, social expectations, and raising children. Doctors continue to warn that this can lead to big problems later. 69% of people in india say that stress is the cause of their insomnia. In india, women are said to have worse sleep than men. Another study says that women sleep peacefully for only 3.83 nights a week, while men sleep peacefully for 4.13 nights.
